Rovellotti "Ronco al Maso" Vespolina 2020

This curious grape is typically used in the Alto Piemonte as a blender for its relative Nebbiolo. But this rare example of a varietal bottling showcases crunchy, juicy red fruit, hints of cracked black pepper and light woodsy spice accents. Very fine tannins make this a fun alternative to Barbera or Beaujolais.
