Born as a project to best demonstrate which varietals best suit each appellation, Casa Julia is the result of Pablo Morande's life's work. One of the fathers of winemaking in Chile, his influence has transformed the plantings in the Maipo Valley to be revered and respected around the world.

Born as a project to best demonstrate which varietals best suit each appellation, Casa Julia is the result of Pablo Morande's life's work. One of the fathers of winemaking in Chile, his influence has transformed the plantings in the Maipo Valley to be revered and respected around the world.

Rooted in the history of Chilean wine production, in 1982, Pablo was the first wine-producer to plant grapes in the Casablanca Valley. He was the first and only vigneron to farm this land for the next four years. Today the valley has over 4,000 hectares of vines. Many wineries in the country followed Pablo's lead, and now produce some of their best wines from the Casablanca Valley.

A series of value driven wines from one of the most talented winemakers in South America, the wines of Casa Julia are made from a grapes that come from a variety of appellations, including Casa Blanca, Maipo and Rapel Valleys. From these appellations, Pablo has a variety of climates at hand-plantings in high and low elevations, on the coast and in one of the most southern regions of Chile, Maule.

Terms & Regulations
To attend this event you must purchase a ticket in advance. The $30 price includes $10 for the seminar fee and $20 toward the purchase of wine or other products from CoolVines, which are consumed at the event. Attendees can choose a “seminar-only” ticket for $10 if they do not wish to participate in the tasting.  The $20 portion of your ticket will be applied toward the purchase of 1 or more bottles of wine or other product from CoolVines, which will be consumed at the event.  Your wine will be delivered to the seminar venue for your convenience.  It is encouraged that participants offer their bottles to share with the group so that all participants are able to taste all products at the event.  48-hr cancellation notice is required for refund. Cancellations received after that time will be refunded at the sole discretion of CoolVines. No-shows will not receive a refund.
