Green & Red "Chiles Canyon Estate" Zinfandel

One of the great "traditional" producers of Zinfandel in California. Green & Red refers to the green serpentine and red chert rocks in the vineyard. It was started by Berkeley sculpture professor named Jay Heminway in 1969 and now is managed by his daughter Tobin. Located at 1500 feet elevation facing north, it produces Zinfandel of luminance and elegance rare in Napa.
