Champagne Jacques Lassaigne "Les Vignes de Montgueux" Extra Brut Rose NV

The singular wines of Jacques Lassaigne from the majestic hill of Montgueux are quite hard to find, and this is the first time we have had access to their special rose Champagne. 15% red still Pinot Noir is added to their signature chalky, mineral-laden Chardonnay, and the result is powerful, earthy sparkling wine. We had the fortune to taste this wine recently with Emmanuel Lassaigne. "I call this wine a 'wrong Blanc de Blancs.'" If this is wrong, we don't want to be right!
