Markvart Janos "Sauli" Kadarka

Kadarka is one of the more unique red varieties of central and eastern Europe. In Hungary, it grows primarily in the southern region of Szekszard. Janos Markvart produces an immensely compelling example of the grape. This cuvee is produced from 100-year-old vines and is aged in Hungarian oak. It's deeply fruited, with polished, rounded tannins. We tasted this wine in Hungary and HAD to get some for CoolVines.
