Villa di Geggiano Chianti Classico

Located just few miles west of Castell'in Villa in the Castelnuovo Berardenga sub-zone of Chianti Classic. The properties is owned by a family that counts a pope among their ancestor (not such a big deal, though, this area is lousy with old popes.) This sub-zone has a reputation for producing big and full reds, and this one surely fits that bill. As deep and complex as any Brunello from nearby Montalcino, it has powerful aromas and muscular body.
