"La Croix Boissee is his "grand cru" site, where Cabernet Franc is planted on the famed tuffeau (soft limestone) soils with a perfect southern exposition. Dark red fruit with black tea leaf accents and a more intense, powerful presence than you might expect from Cabernet Franc.
